The Nanton & District Chamber of Commerce actively applies for grants throughout the year that support its activities and enhance the businesses and community at large. Below are two such grants which are being executed in 2024. THANK YOU to the funders.
The Chamber received $2500 from Fortis Alberta’s Community Naturalization and Tree Planting Grant program. Through these grants, they seek to support their municipal customers with developing and improving environmentally-friendly programs and facilities in their communities. As part of the Chamber’s efforts to help beautify parts of the Nanton business districts, 6 new faux brick planters are arriving shortly. They are self watering and we’ll be able to keep them utilized throughout the year with various plants/shrubs.
The Chamber and the Canadian Grain Elevator Discovery Centre are receiving $40,000 from the Community Foundations of Canada. Watch for more community beautification and some fun new elements around town that integrate art, water, history. and community engagement as a result of this grant.
