Nanton is a place to experience day and night. Come for the day and stay for the evening. You can see the iconic grain elevators lit up or go for a drive around town to see the many businesses and houses decorated with Christmas lights and decorations (it’s a BIG thing here!). And if the night is clear, you’ll be awestruck by the millions of stars above you. Can’t get that in the city.

It’s time to light up Nanton! Join us for our 1st annual Christmas Light Display Contest and show off your holiday spirit. Whether you go for classic charm or bold brilliance, we want to see your festive flair!
Contest Details:
🎄 Judging Date: Friday, December 5, 2025
🎄 Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners
🎄 Registration Deadline: Dec 5 at 3pm – must be registered to be included
🎄 Map of Entries: All registered homes will be added to a public Google Map for the community to enjoy
Rules:
You must register your home to be eligible for judging.
Lights and decorations must be visible from the street.
Judging will take place on the evening of December 5 – make sure your display is fully lit!
Judging criteria include creativity, overall impact, and festive spirit.
